Summary: Three products were successful in removing the lacquer finish from the cherry wood sample provided by the client. Take Off Green and Citristrip removed the coating with little trouble whereas SI#4 required more effort to clean the coating. In addition to the client specific trial, additional reports from similar cleaning testing have been sent.

Test Objective: Replacement and or substitution of methylene chloride based furniture remover

Problems with Current Method: In violation of mc exposure standards

Purpose of Cleaning: Preparation for repair, restoration, refinishing of furniture
