Project Number 1

Summary:

A two phase cleaning comparison has been conducted. The first set of test was to identify an aqueous based process for potential future use at new location. Oakite Inproclean 3800 and Today & Beyond 2003 were found to be the most effective products using ultrasonic cleaning. The second phase of testing was to identify a drop-in solvent for the vapor degreasing unit currently using TCE. Two products, Petroferm Lenium ES and Kyzen Corp Metalnox M6960 have been used on supplied parts to clean via vapor degreasing.

Test Objective:

To replace TCE in cleaning operation.

Product Use:

Finished components, religious cross
