Summary: With the clients, two methods were demonstrated for cleaning, Spray wash for the grease and ultrsonics for the oxides.

Test Objective: To determine if there is a better cleaning agent than HCl, nitric acid, or solvents currently used

Problems with Current Method: Done entirely by hand. Use of concentrated acids are undesirable

Purpose of Cleaning: Remove vacuum grease and reactor residues.

Product Use: Laboratory-scale production of ultra pure chemicals for semi conductors and solar-cell industry.

Cleaning Chemicals: Nitric acid, Hydrochloric acid, Sodium Hydroxide
