Trial Purpose: Laboratory evaluations of alternative cleaning products

Date Run: 02/05/02

Experiment Procedure:
Degasification: 5 min. in ultrasonic tank at 120 F.
Cleaning: 2 min. in ultrasonic tank at 120 F.
Rinsing : 1/2 min. manual in water at 120 F.
Drying : 1 min. with heat gun at 500 F.
Contaminant:
1. Grease: Keystone KSL 111, ELF Lubricants-Diester
2. Resin - Ashland Chemical Aroset PS 8078, (Lot# 071901). (141-78-6 Ethyl Acetate, 142-82-5 Heptane, 67-63-0 Isoproanol)
3. Buffing compound - The Lea Manufacturing Company Learok 2-B-111 - Abrasive, Fatty acids, Glycerides and petrolium wax/oil mix-silica dust (14808-60-7)
4. Paint - Nybco Designer Colors Satin finish 4660 Country Blue, Contains Toluene, Xylene,Acetone

Trial Results
After running ultrasonic on resin contaminated coupons they were wiped off with the tissue so that all the loose resin would be removed.
