Trial Number 2

Trial Purpose:

Laboratory evaluations of alternative cleaning products

Date Run:

07/08/1999

Experiment Procedure:

Four products were diluted to 5% and heated to 130 F. Stainless steel coupons were coated with Black dye ink.

Trial Results:

Although water was not tested, it could have been included and done well.  The dye was not truly adhering to the surface until it had dried there.  The dye was removed within the first minutes (1-2) of the immersion, in most cases.

Success Rating:

Preliminary compatibility tests on substrate coupons encouraging for at least one cleaning chemistry. More in-depth laboratory testing necessary.

Conclusion:

Three of the four removed over 80% of the ink.
