Summary:
Ten trials were conducted on the various paints used in painting golf balls. During the evaluations, one of the current cleaning chemicals was used as a bench mark. Successful products were identified that could be used to clean the manufacturing equipment, i.e. spindles. Oakite Inproclean 4000 T and Gemtek SC Actisolv were successful on each of the paints. Both products cleaned the supplied spindles very well when using ultrasonic energy. The client has tested the alternatives on-site.Test Objective:

Project Number 2
Summary:
Five trials were conducted on the supplied painted balls. During the evaluations, one of the current cleaning chemicals was used as a bench mark. Testing included immersing the balls in a cleaning product and cleaned using ultrasonic energy. Time and temperature were modified in an attempt to find optimum conditions for products that showed signs of removing the paint. Testing was conducted using 30 minutes of cleaning and 130-150 F.Test Objective:
