Trial Purpose:

Pilot cleaning based on results from last cleaning trial

Experiment Procedure:

Tower Products 279 Cleaner Concentrate was selected as the product to be used for cleaning the 22 supplied parts. A 1% solution was made up using DI water in a 16 L Crest 40 kHz ultrasonic tank model 4Ht 1014-6. Three parts were cleaned for 5 minutes at room temperature. Parts were rinsed one by one in a DI water ultrasonic bath for 1 minute also at room temperature. Parts were visually inspected and then packaged to be returned to client.

Trial Results:

All parts looked as clean as the demo part cleaned previously.

Success Rating:

Results suggest a scale-up feasible match for cleaning chemistry and equipment. Pilot plant study with actual parts recommended.

Conclusion:

Parts have been sent back to client for further analysis.
