Laboratory evaluations of alternative cleaning products

Experiment Procedure:

Basic cleaning performance testing was conducted using ASTM G122 as the bases for cleaning. 

Cleaning: 5 min. immersion cleaning with stir-bar agitation at 120 F
Rinsing  : 1/2 min. manual in water at 120 F
Drying   :  1 min. with heat gun at 500 F
Contaminant : latex binder mix (00146),
CAS# of contaminant : 9016-45-9,7664-41-7, 50-00-0

Trial Results:

Increase in weight in some cases, decrease in others.

Success Rating:

Preliminary compatibility tests on substrate coupons encouraging for at least one cleaning chemistry. More in-depth laboratory testing necessary.

Conclusion:

Failure of the test. Bizarre change in weight of the coupons found.
