Basic cleaning performance testing was conducted using ASTM G122 as the bases for cleaning.
Degasing: 5 min. cleaners were kept in ultrasonic crest at 120 F.
Cleaning:2 min. in ultrasonic crest at 120 F.
Rinsing: 1/2 min, manual, in tap water @ 120 F
Drying: 1 min with heat gun @ 500 F
Contaminant : Latex binder mix-(00146)-linear alky
Success Rating:
Preliminary compatibility tests on substrate coupons encouraging for at least one cleaning chemistry. More in-depth laboratory testing necessary.Conclusion:
All cleaners were effective but in some cases % efficiency was obtained above 100 %. This may be due to the fact that coupons the were not clean of the contaminant from the previous runs.
