Basic cleaning performance testing was conducted using ASTM G122 as the bases for cleaning.
Cleaning: 5 min. immersion cleaning at 120 F with mechanical agitation by means of air sparger. (Cleaning with D-greeze was carried out at room temperature).
Rinsing: 1/2 min. manual with water at 120 F.
Drying: 1 min. with heat gun at 500 F.
Abrasive: Silicone - GE Silicones SM 2163 Silicone emulsion (112945-52-5)
Paint - Nybco Designer Colors Satin finish 4660 Country Blue, Contains Toluene, Xylene, Acetone
Wax - Stevenson Brothers and Co. Inc. Petroleum Paraffin wax
Trial Results:
Except for wax coupons other were dried using heat gun.
Coupons with wax were air dried.
Success Rating:
Preliminary compatibility tests on substrate coupons encouraging for at least one cleaning chemistry. More in-depth laboratory testing necessary.
