Trial Purpose:
To evaluate the effectiveness of Amazon Aware Glass Cleaner on glass and chrome substrates using glass soil.

07/20/2021Experiment Procedure:
One provided tablet was placed in the provided spray bottle and was fully dissolved in 32 oz. of warm tap water. After one tablet test was complete, a second tablet was added to the bottle and fully dissolved. Three coupons for each substrate were weighted for initial weights. Using the Janitorial Standard Glass-GS 37 and Glass - DCC, the coupons were soiled with glass soil #2 on one side and air-dried at room temperature (68F) for 24 hours. After drying, three coupons of the same substrate were loaded into the Straight Line Washability Unit (SLW) and a Kimberly-Clark Wypall was attached to the cleaning sled. The Wypall and coupons were each sprayed two times with the specified cleaner before being cleaned for 20 cycles (30 seconds). Coupons were placed on a tray after cleaning and air-dried overnight before final weights were taken.

Both Amazon Aware Glass Cleaners left minor filming on the chrome coupons after cleaning and drying overnight.
Success Rating:
Preliminary compatibility tests on substrate coupons encouraging for at least one cleaning chemistry. More in-depth laboratory testing necessary.Conclusion:
Both versions of the Amazon Aware Glass Cleaner (one tablet and two tablets) were as effective as Windex on glass substrates, but not as effective as Windex on chrome substrates.
