Trial Purpose:
To evaluate supplied product for painted tile, coated wood, and ceramic surface cleaning effectiveness.

The supplied cleaning products were used at the recommended concentration. Preweighed painted tile, coated wood, and ceramic coupons were coated with a layer of DCC-17 soil using a hand held swab and allowed to air dry for 24 hours at room temperature. The contaminated coupons were weighed again to determine the amount of soil added.
Three coupons were placed into a Gardner Straight Line Washability unit. A Wypall X60 reinforced wipe was attached to the cleaning sled and soaked with 1 spray of cleaning solutions. Each coupon was sprayed 1-2 times with the same cleaning solution. The solution was allowed to penetrate for 30 seconds followed by cleaning in the SLW unit for 20 cycles (~33 seconds). At the end of the cleaning, coupons were wiped once with a dry paper towel. Final weights were recorded and efficiencies were calculated and recorded.
Trial Results:
Only one of the products supplied of the three were effective at removing the DCC-17 soil from the three surfaces using manual wiping. The Pledge product resulted in the lowest efficiency, removing at an average of just 64.36% of the DCC-17 soil. The table lists the amount of soil added, the amount remaining after cleaning and the average calculated cleaning efficiency for each coupon cleaned.

Success Rating:
Results successful using TACT (time, agitation, concentration, and temperature, as well as rinsing and drying) and/or other cleaning chemistries examined.Conclusion:
The Artik All Purpose cleaning solution was found to be most effective at removing the DCC-17 soil from the ceramic substrates as it yielded a 76.13% on average. Both supplied products removed more than comparative product Pledge.
