Valves were sent to an outside vendor to clean using the Supercritical CO2 method.
SUBSTRATE MATERIAL: Stainless Steel (Supplied from client)
CONTAMINANTS: Salts, corrosive deposits
Trial Results:
The method selected proved to be an inadequate means for cleaning the parts. In fact, the method caused the valve to become more contaminated.
Success Rating:
Test showed little or no promise. Conclusion:
Using Supercritical CO2 extraction to clean the valves would not be an effective method and should not be considered.
