Part of a joint venture between EPA, TURI and RI DEM to reduce the use of TCE in the Providence, RI area, one trial was conducted on this client’s buffing compound. Several products, Matchless Metal Polish Co, MC 132, US Polychem Corporation Polyspray Jet 790 XS, Magnaflux Daraclean 283, Man Gill Chemical Company Gillite 0650 Cl, Jackson Lee Clean All 336 (current cleaner), were successful in removing the buffing compound, the next step will be to evaluate these cleaners on supplied parts. Client will be evaluating the Matchless MC 132 on their own.
