Trial #1
To evaluate two paint remover products for manual removal of paint and varnish from painted wooden coupons.
Six pre-weighted wooden coupons were double coated with the supplied paint and varnish. Once dried, a second weight was recorded to determine the amount of paint added to the coupon. The cleaner was applied to each coupon with a brush and then cleaned using a 3m Heavy Duty Scour Pad. Each coupon was scraped firmly five times every five minutes and a new coat of cleaner was added after each round. After the 30 minutes period was over, the coupons were overnight dried; a third weight was recorded to determine the amount of paint was removed and efficiency was calculated.
Visual Performance ranking:
1) Excellent total removal
2) Good removal
3) Fair removal
4) Soften Paint
5) No removal
