Trial #11
To evaluate supplied products on removing tarnish from brass.
Soak sponge with solution at full strength and wipe brass fixtures in circular motion. After several minutes a second soaking of the sponge was performed and wiping continued for about 10 minutes. After cleaning the fixtures were rinsed with a wet paper towel and allowed to air dry. Observations were made as to brightness of fixture and when appropriate, water flow through shower faucet.
The DFC 23 out-performed the DFC 30 for removing the tarnish from the brass fixtures. The DFC 30 had some foaming when wiped onto surfaces. The DFC 30 did not increase flow through shower faucet whereas the DFC 23 did. All fixtures showed improvement to shine and appearance.
Both products were effective in removing tarnish from brass fixtures. DFC 23 was more successful than DFC 30 in improving water flow.
