To see whether a microfiber towel will be able to absorb the oily film left behind from an adhesive removing product.
Six laminate panels were chosen for this test and had their initial weights recorded. Each panel was then soiled with Roberts Vinyl Composition Tile Adhesive by scraping a thin layer of adhesive across each panel. The dirty weights of the panels were then recorded. The panels were then cleaned by method of manual wiping with a paper towel dampened with the Klean Strip Floor Adhesive Remover and wiped for about 5 minutes. After this step, the clean weights of the panels were recorded. Three of the panels were then chosen to receive a drying step of manually wiping the panel with a microfiber towel for about 30 seconds each. The dry weights of these three coupons were then recorded.

The cleanliness level of the panels that received the microfiber towel wipe are a higher percentage than those that did not receive the microfiber towel wipe. The cleanliness level of the panels that received the microfiber towel wipe are also more consistent than those that did not.

After being manually wiped with the microfiber towels, the panels are no longer visibly shiny and are no longer oily to the touch.
A microfiber towel is effective in absorbing a good amount of the oily film left behind by the Klean Strip Floor Adhesive Remover.
