SUBSTRATE MATERIAL: Aluminum
REQUEST: Looking for an updated list of products used to clean buffing compounds from aluminum surfaces.
RESPONSE: Using the laboratories databases on cleaning chemical evaluations, several potential alternatives were identified for the removal of buffing compounds from aluminum substrates. Table 1 lists cleaners listed in the Industrial Cleaning Survey: Directory of Vendors 4th edition. The * entries are products that have been used effectively for the removal of various buffing compounds from a wide range of substrates.
