Trial #1
To evaluate the efficiency of PathoClean for removing SCL Soil 2 (glass soil) from two substrates.
Six pre-weighed coupons, three of each substrate, for each cleaner were contaminated with one gram of glass soil and air-dried at room temperature for hours. Three coupons of the same substrate were loaded into the Straight-Line Washability (SLW) device, and a KC Wypall reinforced paper towel was attached to the cleaning sled. The Wypall and coupons were each treated with two sprays of the cleaner and run for 20 cycles (equivalent to 30 seconds of cleaning). The pH was logged after testing, and coupons air-dried at room temperature for 24 hours before recording final weights.
PathoClean and Windex both were effective for the removal of glass soil from both glass and chrome substrates. PathoClean averaged 94% for chrome and 84% for glass. Windex averaged 93% for chrome and 99% for glass. Both cleaners are comparable to each other and effectively removed the soil. The pH was 10.

PathoClean was 5% less effective on glass but was still visually effective and comparable to Windex.
PathoClean was just as effective, both visually and gravimetrically, as Windex for the removal of glass soil on chrome and glass.
