• Vendor information was obtained from Dylan L'Abbe-Lindquist, pointed to Performance Food Group and Chemstation as suppliers of cleaners
• reached out to both Chemstation and PFG for inquiry regarding potential replacements within their existing catalogues
• Chemstation replied first, spoke with James Nissi, recommended replacing existing mold control agent in use with Chemstation's PAA sanitizer, as it contains no QATs
• Performance Food Group was unresponsive, found contact in TURI database for Robert Palk, emailed him directly
• Robert recommended a replacement using an iodine-based sanitizer called Saniphor, provided SDS but did not have any other advice on replacements

• Was unable to acquire an SDS for Chemstation's PAA sanitizer, but assumedly Pigeon Cove already has it as it is a product currently in their inventory
• Based on P20ASys analysis of Safety Data Sheet from Performance Food Group, their Saniphor No. 240 does not seem a suitable replacement based on the needs of Pigeon Cove Ferments
  • A final P20Asys score came out to a 10, with a 10 in acute human effects and physical properties
  • this is because the product is highly corrosive and damaging to human skin on contact, as well as presenting a minor respiratory irritation hazard

Based on the results above, no suitable alternatives to the products containing QATS provided by Performance Food Group exist within their own catalogue. Alternatives assessment for products outside of Performance Food Group's catalogue would be advisable to find a suitable replacement.
