Laboratory evaluations of alternative cleaning products

Basic cleaning performance testing was conducted using ASTM G122 as the bases for cleaning.
Cleaning: 5 min. Immersion at 120 F with stir-bar agitation. Rinsing : 1/2 min, manual in water at 120 F
Drying : Drying at room temperature for 16 hrs.
Contaminant : Castrol Inc. -Braycote Perfluoropolyether High Temperature lubricating grease.
There was increase in weight of some coupons. This is due to the fact that grease was not removed at all from the coupons and it retained the water.
Failure of all the cleaners.
