Industrial Standard: ASTM - ASTM G122
Immersion, 10 mins, stir bar @ 300 rpm Soiling Instructions: Make slurry by mixing Dry Malt Extract with warm water. Add slurry to boiling water in brewing pot. Add hops and boil for ~1 hr. (The result of these steps is called wort). Allow the wort to cool to room temperature. Transfer the wort to fermentation vessel. Rehydrate the Dry Yeast by mixing with a small amount of warm water. Let mixture sit for 5-10 mins. Add mixture to wort, DO NOT MIX. Hang coupons so that they sit just above the level of the wort. Place cover on fermentation vessel. let it ferment for at least 72 hours. Remove coupons and bake in oven at 250F for 10 mins. 2 gallon brew: 1.5 lbs dry malt extract 6-7 grams of dry yeast whole packet of hops
