Parts cleaned at the TURI Lab were brought to the facility to see what they thought of cleanliness. Additional uncleaned parts were returned. A Crest 19L, 40 Hz ultrasonic unit was provided for the company to borrow so that sample cleaners for the iron shot cleaning could evaluated on site. Samples of the Poly Spray jet 790 xs and the Daraclean 282 GF were brought for buffing compound removal.
The parts were presented to the company in the order of cleaning at the lab. The parts were acceptably clean with the Daraclean 282 GF being the best. They were very happy with how the parts looked and the small or no amounts of rust on all types of parts. This had been an issue with the BCS cleaner. The company was impressed at how the well the ultrasonic cleaning did with removing the iron shot.
The company was interested in getting a gallon of the 282 to try in their spray wash unit. The lab is facilitating delivery of a gallon of product for on-site testing and the lab plans to follow up in August.
