Project Number 1

Test Objective:

The objective of this test is to identify effective active ingredients in order to search for alternative cleaners and sanitizers to replace Cedar's current products (5229 AFCO and 4325 PerOx) in use for their CIP cleaning process.

Product Use:

Mixing and Pasteurization tanks in which the hommus ingredients are mixed, pasteurized, and stored.
Trial Number Date Run Purpose Success Rating
0 08/09/2022 To evaluate the effective ness of 5229 AFCO cleaner and 4325 PerOx sanitizer in cleaning and sanitizing stainless steel alloys 304 and 316 Results successful using TACT (time, agitation, concentration, and temperature, as well as rinsing and drying) and/or other cleaning chemistries examined.
1 08/10/2022 To evaluate the effectiveness of LFE Enzymatic cleaners and Lactic acid sanitizer in cleaning and sanitizing stainless steel alloys 304 and 316. Results successful using TACT (time, agitation, concentration, and temperature, as well as rinsing and drying) and/or other cleaning chemistries examined.
2 08/10/2022 To evaluate the effective ness of LFE Enzymatic Cleaner 2.5% (140 F) and Caprylic Acid 0.15 % in cleaning and sanitizing stainless steel alloys 304 and 316. Results successful using TACT (time, agitation, concentration, and temperature, as well as rinsing and drying) and/or other cleaning chemistries examined.
3 08/10/2022 To evaluate the effective ness of LFE Enzymatic cleaner and NaDCC tablet sanitizer in cleaning and sanitizing stainless steel alloys 304 and 316 Results successful using TACT (time, agitation, concentration, and temperature, as well as rinsing and drying) and/or other cleaning chemistries examined.
4 01/01/1970 To evaluate the effectiveness of LFE Enzymatic cleaners in conjunction with Acetic acid sanitizer in cleaning and sanitizing stainless steel alloys 304 and 316. Results successful using TACT (time, agitation, concentration, and temperature, as well as rinsing and drying) and/or other cleaning chemistries examined.
5 08/10/2022 To evaluate the effectiveness of Lactic acid as a cleaner in conjunction with Lactic acid as a sanitizer in cleaning and sanitizing stainless steel alloys 304 and 316 (in one step as opposed to separate cleaning and sanitizing steps). Test showed little or no promise.
6 08/10/2022 To evaluate the effectiveness of Lactic acid as a cleaner in conjunction with Caprylic acid sanitizer in cleaning and sanitizing stainless steel alloys 304 and 316. Test showed little or no promise.

Project Number 2

Test Objective:

To find an effective enzymatic cleaner that is financially feasible for the company to replace their current cleaner 5229 AFCO LF within a CIP process.

Product Use:

Mixing and Pasteurization tanks in which the hommus ingredients are mixed, pasteurized, and stored
Trial Number Date Run Purpose Success Rating
0 07/17/2023 To test the effectiveness of ENZO NRF cleaner in comparison to current cleaner 5229 AFCO LF and LFE Enzymatic cleaner that was previously tested and found successful. Results successful using TACT (time, agitation, concentration, and temperature, as well as rinsing and drying) and/or other cleaning chemistries examined.
1 03/06/2024 To compare the efficacy of Enzo NRF enzyme cleaner at two different temperatures (90F vs 130F) Results successful using TACT (time, agitation, concentration, and temperature, as well as rinsing and drying) and/or other cleaning chemistries examined.
