Client #310

Project Number 1

Summary:

The lab evaluated the requested product against several other products on the various contaminants being used. After piloting the product on-site, the company found that the product they were thinking of switching to was successfully cleaning their parts. The parts they cleaned using the BCS Greensoak welded fine.

Test Objective:

Evaluation of the effectiveness of a new aqueous agent on machined parts.
Trial Number Date Run Purpose Success Rating
0 10/09/2008 To evaluate performance of possible aqueous based cleaning products for various oil removal. Results successful using TACT (time, agitation, concentration, and temperature, as well as rinsing and drying) and/or other cleaning chemistries examined.
1 10/09/2008 To evaluate successful products on second supplied contaminant Results successful using TACT (time, agitation, concentration, and temperature, as well as rinsing and drying) and/or other cleaning chemistries examined.
2 10/09/2008 To evaluate top six products on third supplied contaminant using immersion cleaning. Results successful using TACT (time, agitation, concentration, and temperature, as well as rinsing and drying) and/or other cleaning chemistries examined.
3 10/10/2008 To evaluate top performing products on fourth supplied contaminant using immersion cleaning. Results successful using TACT (time, agitation, concentration, and temperature, as well as rinsing and drying) and/or other cleaning chemistries examined.
4 10/10/2008 To evaluate top four products on the last supplied contaminant using immersion cleaning. Results suggest a scale-up feasible match for cleaning chemistry and equipment. Pilot plant study with actual parts recommended.
